The (Emerging) Designer Awards 2025 - Locki Humphrey is the Winner of the Product Design category

Описание: Holding its third annual awards ceremony on 22 October 2025, The (Emerging) Designer Awards welcomed more than 200 people to the Artedomus Galleria in Melbourne. Some of Australia’s most esteemed architects, designers and industry stakeholders joined Artedomus and The Local Project to celebrate the architects and designers shaping Australia’s creative future.

Locki Humphrey was announced the Winner of the Product Design category, an award that celebrates an outstanding product design by an emerging Australian designer, architect or interior design practitioner or studio. "As the recipient of this year's award, Locki's work demonstrates a fresh exploration of unconventional and sustainable materials, reimagined in ways that feel both surprising and purposeful," said Thomas Coward, a juror and creative director of Artedomus and New Volumes.

"With a unique approach that balances functionality and aesthetics, Locki challenges traditional boundaries while maintaining a strong sense of coherence and vision. Their designs not only push the conversation forward within the materiality but also reflect an inspiring sensitivity to culture and environment. This bold combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and originality distinguishes Locki as a rising force in design," said Thomas.

The Product Design category is partnered by New Volumes and presented by Artedomus and The Local Project. "Founded on the belief that great design tells a story through materiality, New Volumes brings together designers who push boundaries, transforming natural materials into collections that embody both craftsmanship and imagination," said Phil Brenton, managing director of Artedomus, as he presented the award to Locki. "Through this partnership, New Volumes continues to support emerging Australian designers, offering a platform to develop, produce and showcase their work on a national stage."
