This one came through in an unexpected way.

A local council worker who maintains the council land out the front of this property sent me a message recommending the place for Free Mow Fridays. The nature strip was cut, but the front yard was completely out of control and so overgrown it was hiding the house.

I knocked on the door and explained what Free Mow Fridays is about. He offered to pay. I said no because then it would not be Free Mow Fridays.

What I found behind the front yard was even worse.

A surprisingly large block.
A backyard swallowed by weeds.
Noxious growth that looks more like trees than plants.

This could end up being the biggest clean up I have done to date.

In this first episode we tackle the wildly overgrown front yard.

This is not a one visit job. I will be cleaning this place up over multiple videos and doing it properly.
Much to come including removing invasive noxious weeds and fire up the 13HP Hansa chipper to begin bringing this property back from the brink.

The goal is not just to mow it once. I want to help set this property up so it does not fall back into this condition. I will also be trying to find someone who can maintain it ongoing within his budget so it stays under control long term.

Free Mow Fridays is about more than just cutting grass. It is about restoring dignity, reducing stress and stepping in when someone genuinely needs a hand.
