Here are the freight trains I spotted during my brief stay in Landstuhl, Germany.
Do you notice the difference in length of the trains compared to the freight trains in the US? It has to do with the available spurs and yard space etc. Less space means shorter trains.
Now, regarding the V 90 and V 100 series locomotives I am not sure if I have the manufacturer correct. The locomotives are all designed in the past DDR, East Germany. There are a few manufacturers that overhaul them or build them new with some more modern parts. I tried to make some sense from the info provided by our good friends from Wikipedia but I was unable to figure it out with certainty. Please feel free to research the manufacturers yourself, and if I did get it wrong please let me know.
