Damn it. This reel has a five-year warranty, but sod's law, just over 5 years old and it decided to end in a puff of smoke.
Before people mention me touching the switch when it is smoking, I had unplugged it by then.
Was never a big fan of this reel even though it looked the part and did its job. it was forever tangling around the spool because the plastic sides are too low for a 50-metre cable, plus it was tough to push a plug into the sockets.
