HOW you get there | Bristley Ridge & Sinister Gully | Snowdonia Scramble

Описание: Scrambling... google defines it is "moving quickly or awkwardly up a steep gradient or over rough ground by using one's hands as well as one's feet." It's a mixture of difficult hiking and easy rock climbing but make no mistake, scrambling is considered more far dangerous than its roped up counterpart.

That being said, scrambling is a fantastic method to get off the well worn path and find new and fun ways to get where you're going. Today's adventure takes me back to the Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia to climb 4 mountains I have visited numerous times, but this time, I'm taking on Bristley Ridge. Exploring the idea that you don't need to travel somewhere new for a new experience. HOW you get where you're going is always more important than WHERE you are going.

I attempted this scramble 2 years ago but bailed (   • BAILING off BRISTLY RIDGE | Mini Wild Camp   - to see the failure) so thought it was about time to have another crack at it. Wanting tot take the same route I planned back then, the adventure starts with a fun scramble up Tryfan's north face (this part is documented much more in-depth in over videos) then, after a quick pitstop, heads on to link up Bristley Ridge via Sinister Gulley.

Graded at a 1+ scramble, I knew there were a few tricky steps between me and the top with some EPIC exposure. Made far more epic in this video with extreme wide angle 360 camera shots (distorting the image and making everything seem steeper) and over the top music, but it's cinematic AF so I don't wanna hear "it can't be that steep in real life".
