Transcript: He got in an accident and someone else was injured. The other person got a concussion, but he was charged with a DUI with injury and great bodily injury is enhancement, which makes it a strike and a felony. So he could have gone to prison for eight years because it was a DUI. With injury, it becomes a felony or can be a felony. It's a wobbler, either felony or misdemeanor. Through negotiations, we were able to get them to dismiss the strike part of it. So it wasn't a great bodily injury as an enhancement. But he pled to the DUI with injury as a felony agreement, was that he could get up to one year in county jail. But based on his spending the last year and a half with the ankle monitor on not drinking alcohol and having no issues with it, the judge should have give him less than that. But she gave him a whole year in jail, even though the alleged victim didn't come to court even to say anything about it. His previous attorney he had before he hired us did a terrible job with the case. And it should've been resolved with something a lot sooner and a lot better offer.
