Sometimes it helps not only to look ahead, but also to look back – especially in an industry that is constantly reinventing itself. To mark EuroShop’s 60th anniversary, we took the opportunity to delve into our archives in search of hidden treasures. Among other finds, film footage from EuroShop 1968 came to light. We have edited together some highlights to give you unique insights into the early days of modern retail. Cash registers, freezer units, shelving systems: much has fundamentally changed since 1968. And yet, looking back also reveals how consistent some ideas and many exhibitors! – of EuroShop have remained.
