Cleaning My Garden – A Refreshing Weekend Task

Every weekend, I spend a few hours cleaning my garden. It’s one of the most peaceful and satisfying activities I do. Although it requires effort, I enjoy the process of making my garden look neat and beautiful. It also gives me a chance to connect with nature and relax after a busy week.

I usually start by gathering all the tools I need, like a rake, gloves, pruning shears, and a garbage bag. First, I clear away any fallen leaves that have collected on the ground. I use a rake to gather them into piles and then put them in the compost bin. This not only makes the garden look tidy but also creates natural fertilizer for my plants.

Next, I focus on the plants. I check each flower bed to see if there are any weeds. Pulling out weeds is a bit tricky because I need to be careful not to damage the plants. After that, I prune the bushes and trim the overgrown branches of my trees. This helps the plants grow better and keeps the garden looking well-maintained.

After dealing with the plants, I move on to the pathways. My garden has a stone pathway that often gets dirty or covered in moss. I use a broom to sweep away the dirt and scrub the stones with a brush to remove any moss. A clean pathway makes the garden more inviting and safe to walk on.

One of my favorite parts of cleaning the garden is taking care of the flowers. I water them and sometimes add fertilizer to keep them healthy. I have roses, sunflowers, and tulips in my garden, and seeing them bloom fills me with joy. Their vibrant colors make all the hard work worthwhile.

Finally, I clean the tools and store them properly in the shed. I also make sure to water the lawn and check if the sprinkler system is working well. Once everything is done, I sit on a bench with a cup of tea and enjoy the view of my clean and tidy garden.
