Severe thunderstorm that affected the NW portion of the West Island of Montreal during the evening period. Two (2) separate thunderstorms affect my area during the evening.

***I STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING EARPHONES/HEADPHONES (BASS AMPLIFIED) TO HEAR THE MORE NATURAL SOUND OF THE THUNDER/RAIN***

Thunderstorms were associated with a shortwave trough and warm front. Ahead of these features was a very warm and very humid environment. More breaks in the cloud deck combined with this moisture yielded a moderately unstable situation. Furthermore, while shearing fields were modest, overall, they were sufficient for convective organization and sustenance. Severe thunderstorm watches were released for my area during the afternoon, and a warning was eventually released for Mirabel-Saint-Jerome. The thunderstorms were lightning-abundant, many of which were higher-order pulses. Several spectacular cloud-to-ground strikes were also captured. Quite a stunning thunderstorm series this was and was the strongest of the year so far. ***Please note that there were some close lightning strikes not captured because the camera was overheating from recording!
