Sega's failures with the 32X and the Saturn pushed them to create a brand new system, far ahead of anyone else. That's when the Sega Dreamcast came to be, putting the competition to shame when it came to its sheer power. However, its success was short lived as the PlayStation 2, and the eventual release of the Gamecube and the Xbox meant that the Dreamcast would struggle greatly once more.
