Описание: A 3 week time-lapse I shot of a Drosera scorpioides gemma. At the start of the growing season, pygmy sundews produce modified leaves called gemmae that each enclose a bud. After dispersal, the gemmae quickly sprout a tap root followed immediately by carnivorous leaves. These plantlets can mature into a flowering sized plant within a single season, increasing the chances of survival during the harsh summer dormancy period.
