Mt Arthur is a 1795m high mountain in Kahurangi National Park, not far from Nelson. I did a three day tramp that included a couple of nights there, as follows: Flora Car Park → Mt Arthur Hut (overnight nearby) → Mt Arthur Summit → Gordon's Pyramid → Salisbury Lodge → Gridiron Shelter (overnight stop #2) → Flora Car Park
To viewers that want to camp off trail in NZ National Parks, note that rules apply relating to the minimum distance you need to be off the trail. Search the DOC website to check on regulations for different National Parks and trails. Needless to say, leave no trace!
