I have lamented over the decline of my favorite sport for decades now, as I've covered in several videos on this channel.

Today we get into greater depth about a key reason that made the 80s so great, the 1985-88 FIG Code of Points, via the first major competition of that quadrennium--the 1985 European Gymnastics Championships in Helsinki 🇫🇮.

Soviet Legend Yelena Shushunova (RIP 😢) dominated this meet, but were all the accolades deserved?

And what about the current Code of Points is hampering artistry and innovation & causing Women's Artistic Gymnastics to become so stagnant?
