SOT PAUL GUDGIN, director of fringe festival (on the fringe's variety of genres) - "Comedy is still the third biggest section, Theatre is the biggest, the most theatre, followed by music and the followed by comedy. Comedy makes a big impact because one person with a microphone is not terribly expensive to bring up and so they can spend a lot of money on publicity, also it has a lot of celebrity value and so it get a lot of coverage in the papers. The great thing about the Fringe is that if you are interested in music, you'll get music, if you love theatre there is tons of theatre and if you bring children there is lots of kids shows in the high street behind me to see."
