The unique bedway configuration of the Dugard HD Range of VMCs is proving to be a great success with customers – the X axis is located underneath the integrated Y axis giving the table the maximum support at all times.

This reverse axis table design has the added benefit of reducing the footprint, with each machine taking up 40% less floor space than a conventional VMC.
Two models are available across the whole range:

The B version has box ways on all 3 axes while the L type has heavy duty roller linear ways on all 3 axes instead.

The B type has a BT50 spindle with 24kW spindle power, 6,000 RPM and a 2 speed gearbox giving a massive 780 newton meters of torque.

The L version has a BT50 spindle, 25Kw spindle power and 10,000 RPM direct drive spindle.

All machines in the HD range feature refrigerated ballscrew cooling on all 3 axes, BBT double contact tooling system, swarf augers and chip flushing as standard.

The HD range is proving to be a tremendous success, with the number of machines installed growing rapidly and all users reporting exceptional cutting capability and superb accuracy.
