The following includes 3 various "active" stretching movements I do once or twice a week, primarily before strength training or running. I don't understand scientifically how they work - but I know they do! I am using very simple bands, tied to a heavy crate for stability, but you can use anything your heart desires.
1 - Upper body Trap & Back & Rear Delt Stretch - keep whole body straight
2 - Rotator cuff stretch - keeping shoulders stable!
3 - Behind the Neck stretch + "Stick" stretch behind the back
