Slow Fashion Experiment: Reverse Tie Dye with a Sewing Twist

Описание: In this experimental journey, I’m taking the word "tie" literally. I’m combining hand-painted bleach art with needle and thread to see if I can hide a secret within the fabric.

The process is a bit of a ride: first, a simple bleach cat outline, then some old-school basting (stitching) to lock the cat away, followed by a full bleach party. I even show the crucial step of using a vinegar bath to neutralize the bleach so your shirt doesn't fall apart. Coming from an Estonian background where we were taught to follow the rules and look like everyone else, this "messy" experiment is my favorite kind of rebellion. It’s upcycled fashion with a lot of curiosity. Stick around to the end to see if the cat survived the "tie" or if I just ruined a perfectly good black shirt. This is sustainable wearable art at its most unpredictable!
