Описание:
1.A Memorandum of Understanding was reached between the parties in 1994 and the defendant could not keep its promise so the petitioner filed the suit in 1995 and first Judgement directed the defendant on just sharing of waters of River Yamuna.
2.As the defendant committed contempt so the plaintiff filed a contempt proceeding in 2021 regarding sharing of waters and the dumping of sewage in to River and contamination of the waters.
3.As it was affecting the health and hygiene of the People as guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution
4.Even after that ,the Supreme Court made strong observations in 2025.
5.As it was a sou motu move of the Supreme Court, so it directed the litigation to the National Green Tribunal bench Delhi by closing the matter in the Supreme Court in month of February, 2026
