It looks like the chief minister's assurance of talks on April 19 has not convinced the anganwadi workers. They had agreed to withdraw the protests soon after the assurance was given at about 2 pm this afternoon. But in just half an hour, they went back on their decision and said that they would continue their protests. Before the protest was withdrawn many anganwadi workers had questioned the decision of the government on their demands. They said that a month was too long to wait for and wanted a decision immediately, It is suspected that this is the main reason why they have decided to resume their protests at Freedom Park.
