Описание: In this heartwarming Mother’s Day tribute, we’re celebrating the extraordinary gorilla moms at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo—and the miraculous family they’ve built against all odds.

When baby gorilla Kayembe was born six weeks premature, his birth mother N'neka didn’t pick him up. But another female, Fredrika (affectionately known as Freddy), stepped in to save his life, cradling him, bringing him to the mesh for bottle feedings, and eventually nursing him herself. Years later, Freddy adopted Jameela, a baby rejected at birth at another zoo. Now, she’s raising two young gorillas with patience, love, and unmatched devotion.

Meanwhile, Kebi Moyo gave birth to Kunda and became the most affectionate gorilla mom you’ll ever meet. With her constant cuddles and protective care, Kebi has helped Kunda grow into a confident, playful youngster.

And even Nneka, who struggled at first, has slowly built a bond with her son Kayembe—proving that motherhood isn’t always instant, but it can grow beautifully with time.
