It’s Christmas Eve and Santa Claus has given everyone on the good list their gifts. Like every year, the Thwomps didn’t get any gifts. Apparently always trying to crush anything living that comes near them is enough to put them all on the naughty list.
Annoyed with never getting any gifts the Thwomps had enough and decided to do what they do best: crush things! Specifically the gifts of all the goody two-shoes of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Thwompio, the only Thwomp that can move in more than two directions, has taken the mission to infiltrate all the homes of the Mushroom Kingdom to destroy any gifts under their trees and also destroy all the ornaments of the big tree in the center of town before Christmas morning.
This is my entry for the Santa’s Starlight Soirée Contest. It is an open-ended speedrun level with multiple paths the player can use to reach the targets. With good routing and the use of secret shortcuts and power ups, the time it takes to finish the level can be cut down dramatically. Have fun and happy holidays!
