This week’s adventure took us to the Wadi Kabir Royal Horse Hike 🐎. While 31 buddies had registered, last-minute surprises brought our final count to an impressive 38 hikers – including several kids and first-timers who added great energy to the group!



If you’ve driven from Wadi Kabir towards Al Bustan, you must have noticed the striking golden horse statues. That’s exactly where our trail began. After a warm-up walk of 800 meters, the real challenge started – a steep ascent of 330 meters over 1.3 km. In total, it’s a 2.1 km climb to the top, following one of the classic Muscat tower trails.



The humid weather and steep gradient made the climb demanding, but the group tackled it with enthusiasm and teamwork. In about 60 minutes, we reached the summit, rewarded with spectacular panoramic views – Sidab, the coastline, Al Bustan, Wadi Kabir, and Ruwi all stretched out before us like a perfect painting.



At the top, we enjoyed a well-deserved break of 20–25 minutes, complete with Karak Chai ☕️ courtesy of Nitin Sood – a tradition we’re always grateful for! After some fun group photos, we began our descent, retracing the same path.



The return took about another 60 minutes, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the true spirit of Adventure Buddies – the perfect start to another weekend.
