Unlucky for some. This gameplay showcase will give you an idea of how the preset AC TENDERFOOT plays in Armored Core VI, at least in PvE, through a mixture of missions and Arena battles.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:00 - Destroy the Tester AC
01:49 - ASSEMBLY CHANGE #1
02:50 - Attack the Dam Complex (alt.)
08:16 - Arena: 22/D G3 Wu Huahai - LI LONG
09:37 - Prisoner Rescue
16:30 - ASSEMBLY CHANGE #2
17:19 - Arena: 02/S G1 Michigan - LIGER TAIL
18:55 - MIA
TENDERFOOT is the Armored Core of "G13" Raven, an honorary member of Balam Industries' Redguns AC brigade. Although Raven is nominally an independent mercenary, he was whimsically named "G13" by the Redguns commander, Michigan, during a mission where Raven worked alongside the Redguns themselves. The callsign of G13 has a bad history within the Redguns, often seen as an unlucky number, and thus Michigan's christening of Raven could be construed as a bad joke. But time will tell if the joke's on Raven, or the Redguns...
The preset AC TENDERFOOT was unlockable as a bonus for those that pre-ordered Armored Core VI before its release date. It is currently unavailable to new players. -
The TENDERFOOT is unique among all preset ACs as the only preset to have an Edit Lock on the "Paint" tab, but not on the "Assembly" tab. Due to the unique decals on the core, legs and arms of the TENDERFOOT, it was likely intended to have its weapons and inner parts be customisable, while leaving the frame as is (although you can still replace the head and have it not affect the decals). Thus, grading such a preset is rather redundant.
Regardless, the base version of the TENDERFOOT does exist, so I'll give it a quick review; it is simply a worse version of the LOADER 4. Sharing the exact same weapons and inner parts as LOADER 4, you're trading in the lightweight C-2000 frame for the Melander C3 frame, which has less AP and flat defences compared to the C-2000. While its three base weapons aren't bad by themselves, the lack of a fourth, plus the horrible inner parts, means I don't recommend the TENDERFOOT in its base form whatsoever.
In order to keep the unique decals (plus the G13 shoulder emblem) you'll have to build around the chest, arms and legs of the Melander C3 frame. I show off a couple of different builds in the video based on Balam's arsenal, but you're free to customise your own TENDERFOOT however you see fit! (As long as you pre-ordered that is...)
| This is by no means a "guide" to show you how to play the AC; I'm sure there are far better players than me who can do more with these mechs. I just want to show off some cool mechs in the style of @bansheent-d Armored Core For Answer videos.
| Recorded on PS5. Played on Patch 1.04. (NOTE: In order to see a preset AC in the Assembly or Paint tabs of the garage: make sure to first enter the Paint tab, saying "Yes" to removing the edit lock. Then back out of the Paint tab, making sure to "Discard" changes and not save. Now, re-enter the Paint tab and you can see the exact colours of the preset AC! (however, decals will not transfer over.))
