Here is a look at a Carter Machine Automag barrel from the early 1990s.
\This barrel was made from a stock Automag barrel and as William Kapes wrote about it on the Carter Machine Facebook group:
"[This] is a stock mag barrel. Comp pump drilled out to fit the 1" OD then the front was turned down and slotted like a boomstick. We used do all sorts of fun stuff with spare stock mag barrels. Easier to modify them than cut a new back end into raw stock."
And William continues, "Pretty sure it was another stock barrel that was just turned down. After they went to level 6 with the bore drop setup I don't think Earon made many barrels from scratch. The machining was a pain. Later when they had cncs at Dye it was easier once that was programmed. There are some though. You can tell from the detent slot being straight and the indexing pin being a couple of flat channels cut with a mill, not smooth around the circumference."
This barrel belongs to David Coronel who was given it by Ted Hines of the Rough Riders and Ronin. Ted received it from his friend Stuart "Stu" Fishel.
