The Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS lens is a favorite for underwater wide angle photography with the Sony Alpha series mirrorless cameras including the a7 IV and a7S III.
The Zoom Gear # 5509.25 is a simple, lightweight, and affordable adapter that allows the 16-35mm F4 lens to be zoomed when used with an Ikelite 200DL underwater housing. This zoom accessory is comprised of a clamp and a sleeve which combine to interface with the gear train and four-lobe zoom knob on the left side of the underwater housing.
The Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS lens can be used behind either the Compact 8" Dome Port # 75344 with 42mm Extension # 75042 or the full Size DL 8" Dome Port # 75340 with 42mm Extension # 75042. Either way it is recommended to add the Anti-Reflection Ring # 0923.72 to reduce unwanted light rays bouncing around the inside of your dome port.
John Brigham walks through the steps to attach this gear to your lens and install it on the housing. If you have any questions about the system please reach out to us via [email protected]. If you enjoy these types of videos please let us know by clicking Like and Subscribe.
