Built –in Induction Hob
A built in induction hob is a replacements to a conventional gas stove as it uses a different principle and machinery for cooking.
What is a Built in Induction Hob?
An Induction hob produces a quickly alternating magnetic field which induces electrics currents into the metal base of the vessels
It heats up the vessels while the hob remains cool
They are available as freestanding or built in hobs
Advantages of a Built in Induction Hob
1 The cooking times is reduced and there is less waste of energy
2 It is safe it does not have an open flame like a gas stove
3 It does not release carbon or carbon monoxide into the kichen
4 Kitchen spills can be easily cleaned because it has a smooth surface
5 It does not require a gas connection as it runs on electricity
6 only the cooking vessel is hot while the hob remains cool
Disadvantages of a built –in Induction Hob
1 It is more expensive than a gas stove
2 only vessels like stainless steels or iron which have a ferromagnetic metal base can be used for cooking
3 the hob cannot work without electricity when there is a power cut
4 Induction hobs cannot be used for roasting of charring food
