In this tutorial I run through some ways to approach improvising in raga Yaman on the guitar, from what notes to play on the way up and the way down, to phrases and ideas for intonation, use of symmetry and articulation. This is the first in a series of videos that step through some of the aspects of Indian Classical music, and introduce techniques and tips for playing them on guitar.
