A shocking series of burglaries has created panic in Hyderabad’s Medipally area near Uppal. Taking advantage of the Sankranti holiday rush, thieves targeted locked houses in Navadurga Colony and Anushakti Nagar under Medipally police station limits. Breaked into nearly 12 homes during the early hours of January 16 around 2:30 AM.
Armed with knives, the burglars freely moved through the streets, looting cash, gold, and silver ornaments before escaping in a car. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, clearly showing the thieves entering houses at midnight.
Police suspect that the robbery was carried out with prior reconnaissance and a well-planned strategy. Medipally police, along with the clues team, inspected the affected houses, collected evidence, and are analyzing CCTV footage to identify the accused.
