They say you have to frame your art to make it respectable. I say the frame is just another place for the story to go.
In this video, I’m taking you into studio at Three Days West in DEEP East Texas to look at the new Stripes Series. This is my revolt against the 'Standard'—no more sad customers worried about framing costs. We’re doing it Basquiat-style, naturally and out of necessity, right here in Nacogdoches.
We talk about the power of Hot Pink and why a cop should never ask an artist about her 'starving' status unless he’s got his fishing license handy.
