Spring is finally arriving on our little Florida farm, and it feels like we’re turning the page on winter for good.
This week, we tackled several homestead projects around the property. We lowered the pasture gate to keep Piper safely out of the horses’ field (while the girls stood there supervising, of course 🐴). It’s always something out here — fences, gates, and figuring out how to keep everyone where they belong.
After what we hope was our LAST cold front of the season here in Florida, I finally cleaned, folded, and packed away the horse blankets. If you live the farm life, you know that putting away winter gear feels like a small victory.
And now? The flowers are blooming everywhere. The air feels softer. Spring on the farm is one of the most beautiful times of the year, and we’re soaking it in.

• Preparing the property for the growing season
