Development across cities and villages of Punjab will accelerate.
Modern Punjab envisions self-sufficiency, beauty, and model villages with bright streets, clean water, clear drains, strong roads, and modern sewage systems.
Work has begun under the Chief Minister’s Model Village Project, fast-tracking 224 villages to become examples of development.
In the first phase, 469 villages in Punjab will receive water supply, drainage, children’s parks, footpaths, and streetlights to make every street beautiful, bright, and safe.
A three-hour continuous review was conducted on Punjab Development Program, Lahore Development Program, Model Village, PHA, clean water, and rural road projects.
Every development project in Punjab will be completed on schedule. A live dashboard will monitor progress, and CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif will personally supervise daily.
For citizen safety, convenience, and aesthetics, sewage lines will be laid in green belts instead of roads.
Roads near manholes will be safe, making every journey easier.
HOPE sewage pipes with 100-year durability will be installed for a strong and clean Punjab.
The first phase of Lahore Development Project is complete; the second phase will finish by April 30.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed completion of the Punjab Development Project in seven cities by April.
New PHAs have been established in 11 more districts, bringing the total to 21.

The project is building 700 houses daily, with Rs 5.15 billion collected from installment payments.
The CM ordered project completion timelines to be displayed on promotional boards.
She expressed displeasure over leaving streets open after excavation.
Immediate completion of road and sewage works was ordered to address public inconvenience.
In 52 cities, Rs 204 billion will be spent on repair, construction, and restoration projects starting by February 22. Apologies were issued to citizens for any inconvenience caused by road excavation.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant was reviewed in detail.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif described complaints regarding filter plants as regrettable and ordered priority installation of water filtration plants in areas with unsafe water.
Construction and restoration of water bottling and filtration plants is to be completed by June 30.
In areas of Dera Ghazi Khan, Khushab, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalpur, citizens forced to rely on distant water will receive bottled water at their doorstep.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the completion of Lahore Canal cleaning and set targets for rapid water drainage after rains.
Under 1,529 road rehabilitation projects, 4,031 kilometers of roads will be constructed or repaired.
