Simulation in healthcare is essential for clinicians to practice skills and team-based care. We travel to Chuuk, Micronesia to visit the state hospital we know and love - this time, we're loaded up with 100s of pounds of gear thanks to an incredible U.S. Department of Interior Technical Assistance Program grant.
We found a space abandoned by the hospital - dirty, full of junk, water dripping from the ceiling - and rehabbed it into a functional simulation center. We provide training and identify a local champion to maintain the space and provide longitudinal impact.
