The 2-11 Patriots are visiting Bill Belichick and the 6-7 Browns. Bill Belichick would coach the Browns from 1991-1995 and would play the Patriots 6 times in 5 seasons and accrue a 4-2 record.
Drew Bledsoe continues to have ups and downs in his rookie season and struggles today but the Patriots defense comes with a couple big plays down the stretch to help seal the win.
One note -- in 93, the NFL doesn't have instant replay and it's absence would have a huge impact in a couple outcomes of Patriots games at the end of the season. On the final third down 2:26:26, Ben Coates clearly fumbles and the Browns recover which could've given them a final possession to try for a tying FG. Reese and Criqui don't even notice.
Dolphins fans will tell you that instant replay would've possibly given them a playoff spot if in Week 18 had replay been able to review an Ingram non-catch. Bottom line, 28 years later, NFL officiating is still mediocre as hell.
