Each episode is an artistic dialogue:
between genres, between cultures, and between musicians who rediscover the raga through collaboration, improvisation, and emotional storytelling.

Episode 03 — MUKHARI: The Sound of Surrender

The third episode delves into the intense emotional landscape of Raga Mukhari, a raga synonymous with pathos, yearning, and inner conflict.

This episode brings together two deeply expressive compositions:
• Naishadhan – Nalacharitham 4 by Unnayi Warrier
• Vadasi – An Ashtapadi from Jayadeva’s Geetha Govindam

Rooted in classical theatre and devotional poetry, Episode 03 explores Mukhari as a vessel for vulnerability and dramatic depth.
Through shifting tempos, layered textures, and narrative intensity, the raga unfolds as a shared emotional experience—one that holds sorrow, devotion, and surrender within the same melodic space.

The musicians navigate restraint and release, allowing Mukhari to breathe, transform, and resonate—while preserving its unmistakable emotional gravity.
