Despite being renowned for its vibrant food culture, children across East Asia and Pacific are growing up in food environments that promote ‘junk’ foods and drinks at low prices while nutritious fresh foods are becoming less available and affordable. This is driving undernutrition and a rapid increase in childhood overweight and obesity.
UNICEF East Asia and Pacific launched the multi-year, multi-country ‘Fix My Food’ campaign that will engage and mobilize support and action from young people, influencers, food entrepreneurs and celebrities across the region to demand a healthier food environment.
