Restoring Cast Iron Pans Using a Lye Bath + Seasoning Cast Iron Pans - My System

Описание: I'm showing here, my system for restoring cast iron pans using a lye bath and my system for seasoning cast iron pans. My sister-in-law had found a good deal on some old rusty cast iron skillets at a yard sale and I offered to restore them for her. Cleaning cast iron with a lye bath is great for getting caked-on gunk off of the pans, soaking in a vinegar/water solution then deactivates the lye and also is great for getting rid of the rust. This here is some old footage I recorded a few years ago but then things came up and I never got around to editing it, until a couple days ago. Please forgive the quality, it was recorded 2 or 3 phones ago and I didn't know as much about making videos as I do now.
