Episode 001 – Reinvention After 50
Reinvention after 50 isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about reconnecting to who you are now without the roles that used to define you.
In this episode, I share why reinvention can feel disorienting even when you’re accomplished and capable. I talk about the identity shift that happens after divorce, career changes, and life transitions, and why feeling unsettled doesn’t mean you’re behind.
If you're a woman 50+ building your second act and want structure around your personal brand, this is the work I do inside YNCIF (Your Next Chapter in Focus).

I’m working with a client right now who is at the top of her game. She has no qualms about showing up. She knows who she is, and she knows that she’s good at what she does.
But the process of building her personal brand — getting ready for a new experience, a pivot into this next chapter — has been a very uncomfortable experience for her.
In the beginning, it wasn’t her questioning her capabilities. It was her questioning her connection to herself.
But this whole process helped her find that again. And it’s been so empowering — to start with something that felt like, “Oh God, this is going to be the worst experience,” and get to the end and say, “You know what? I feel pretty damn good about myself.”
Your role may have changed, but your identity hasn’t caught up with you yet.
Divorce. Corporate exit. Career shift. Kids have grown and left home.
When the external roles fall away, you’re sometimes left thinking, “Okay… who am I now?”
Your body has changed. Our faces have aged. And that can make being visible feel more vulnerable.
Building a brand means being visible. It means being seen. You’re not just building a business — you’re renegotiating how you see yourself.
In our twenties, thirties, and forties, we’re busy. We’re building our lives and careers. Some of us are raising families.
Then you reach fifty, and you’re asking yourself all over again: Who am I?
Reinvention isn’t about burning everything down and starting over. It’s about rediscovering the parts of ourselves that we put away.
It’s taking intentional time to define who we are now and what we want.
And accepting the way that we look.
Aging is a privilege — even though it can be difficult in a world obsessed with youth and cultural stereotypes about women not being valuable after a certain age.
For all the women stepping up and saying, “You know what? I’m ready for something new. I’m going to pivot. I’m going to take that risk.”
It’s worth it.
Because you find out who you are.
It becomes a stepping point — an activation plan — to move you into that next chapter.
If you’re navigating reinvention after fifty and you want a structured process, that’s the work I do inside Your Next Chapter in Focus.
Sometimes it’s simply about taking the time.
