Today my opponent plays a strange variation of the Panov Attack against the Caro Kann Defense, one of the most difficult lines for black to face with the Caro Kann.
The Caro Kann Defense is one of the simplest chess openings and is very positional in nature. The Caro Kann Defense does not require memorising every single move in the opening but I believe the Caro Kann is best served when positional and tactical ideas and motifs are understood and applied when deemed necessary.
