In some very good news for the state’s tourism sector, the Assam Cabinet on Monday grated it industry status.
Addressing the media after the cabinet meeting, Assam tourism minister Jayanta Malla Barua said that tourism outlets and institutes such as both small and big hotels, lodges, heritage hotels, bungalows, eco-tourism sites, spas, amusement parks and other such institutes within the ambit of the tourism industry would benefit from this decision.
