Описание: India is set to significantly boost its strike capability as the Indian Army plans to induct an upgraded version of the BrahMos missile with a range of over 800 km.

The proposal is expected to be cleared soon by the Ministry of Defence, marking a major shift toward long-range precision warfare.

Alongside this, the Army is expanding drone units and strengthening indigenous defence production under the ‘Make in India’ push.

The BrahMos system, jointly developed with Russia, is already deployed across land, sea, and air platforms — and future variants may also be integrated with the HAL Tejas.
