Mike King tragically passed away earlier this week. He was only 52 years-old. Mike was an inspirational award-winning photographer and also a wonderfully kind and generous man with a great sense of humour. I knew Mike well and obviously knew that he was a brilliant sports photographer but it has really only been in these past few hours that I have explored his flickr photos and now feel I fully appreciate what an incredible talent he was with the versatility of his work. To put it simply he had an eye for a great photo. I'm slightly jealous of his talent but mostly I'm very proud to have known Mike as a friend. He leaves an enormous number of colleagues that admire, love and respect him.
