This is my single from my album 'Clay'. Reflecting on my feelings of belonging and how my ancestors’ native language was not passed down through generations, I share how even when language hasn’t been passed down, other traits are passed down. In my case, I inherited a way of expressing myself through music. Mother Tongue conveys how we inherit the traits of our ancestors even if we don’t speak their native language.
