A woman patient from Kendrapara allegedly died at SCB Medical College and Hospital after her hand reportedly developed severe infection following surgery. According to the family, the patient was admitted with hand pain and underwent an operation, but complications led to her right hand rotting, forcing doctors to amputate it. She died two days after the amputation, with relatives accusing doctors of negligence. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation, while the hospital authorities are yet to respond.
