In this video, we are comparing our most common load of smokeless powder and our most common load of Blackthorn 209. We shot our 225 grain start tip with both powders. We shot 100 gains by VOLUME of Blackthorn 209, and 40 grains by WEIGHT of Vihtavuori N110. We were also using CCI 209 Magnum primers. Notice in this video, the blackthorn powder is slightly slower and hits approximately 1.75" lower.
NOTE: It is critical to properly measure all powder correctly, all SMOKELESS powder is measured by WEIGHT not volume as with normal blackpowder and substitutes like Blackthorn.
