He also talks about meeting with Lucas Hedges as he prepared for the role, Russell Crowe unexpectedly showing up at his father's church and being on set and thinking "Oh God, I'm back".


Plot: The son of a Baptist preacher is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program after being forcibly outed to his parents.
