This video is a full walkthrough starting in the Business Zone and working through the train to standard class.

The formation of a 6 carriage Chiltern Mainline Silver train while made up of individual carriages and locomotives are in a semi fixed formation with all Silver trains having the same 6 passenger carriage formation with the class 68 usually being on the north end of the formation and the DVT at the south (London) end of the formation. There is 5 standard class carriages and 1 business zone (first class) carriage however this is now usually declassified meaning passengers with any valid ticket can use any carriage.

The interior of the Chiltern loco hauled sets have been refurbished since the Mk3 were originally introduced with the interiors being in Chiltern branding similar to the class 168 Clubman DMU trains. Seating on board these trains is 2+2 in the standard class carriages and 2+1 in the business zone carriage with most seats throughout the train being in bays of 4 around tables.

The Chiltern Mainline Silver trains operate on the Kidderminster and Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone route along the Chiltern main line via Leamington Spa, Banbury, Bicester North and High Wycombe. These trains operate this route alongside the class 168 Clubman/Turbostar trains. before the December 2022 timetable change there was 1 return working to Oxford from Marylebone however this no longer operates.

Although there are currently no plans to replace the Chiltern locomotive hauled sets as they are required for providing appropriate capacity on Chiltern services they may be replaced in the future.

Note that this video was filmed in August 2022 at Kidderminster station while this train waited to form a service to London Marylebone via Birmingham.
