This state is great for many reasons.. root vegetables, space population, maybe mountains.. But for us, when the sun sets over the salmon river and disappears into the infinite twilight, there is no place we’d rather be fishing.. In my adult life, I’ve been extremely fortunate to witness the long yawn of an Idaho summer.. This big land pushed to the sky houses many secrets that most will never have the opportunity to witness. Blood, sweat, and tears are the tax taken by the trail, but it’s worth it.

The dry fly fishing is an obvious candidate for garnering such fanfare.. trust me, it’s like nothing else I’ve ever seen. 1,000 is awfully high I’d say, so even pictures suffer from gaps and don't truly grasp.. A video, well that might come close.. but experiencing it with your own eyes might be the only way to truly encapsulate this experience. If you’d be so kind as to stick around a little, I’d love for you to witness me and my best friend Sam’s attempt to bottle up summer here in one of the best fly fishing destinations you’ve probably never heard of..
