The 2-day SkillsFuture course on Basic CAD and 3D Printing offers participants an engaging introduction to computer-aided design and additive manufacturing. Over the course, participants learn to design 3D models using industry-standard CAD software, preparing them to create precise and functional designs. They gain hands-on experience with 3D printers, mastering the processes of file conversion, printer setup, and successful 3D assembly. To enhance their learning, participants also visit the Temasek Polytechnic Advanced Manufacturing Centre and the Metal 3D Printing Lab, where they witness cutting-edge technology such as digital twin dashboards, robotic systems, and advanced 3D printing techniques in action. This comprehensive course equips participants with valuable skills for future innovation in design and manufacturing.
