High numbers of INFP writers report that their single biggest problem is finishing writing projects, whether the writing project in question is a short story, or a full-length book. INFP writers also tend to feel a lot of shame and guilt about the fact that they have trouble finishing writing projects. They believe that they should be able to utilize the same kind of work-style that other personality types use to finish writing a book or even start writing a book. However, the INFP personality type is one of the more unconventional personality types, and they also are unconventional writers. What works for most other writers, usually does not work for an INFP writer, and this is not the INFP writer’s fault. Because of the way the INFP personality type is wired, they must do things in their own way, and INFP personality types do have a way of writing that works for them. However, it can be many years before an INFP writer discovers their own INFP creative process, and actually gives themselves permission to fully surrender to it. However, once an INFP writer understand the INFP writing process, and how this ties into INFP creativity, they are able to embrace their unconventional work style and they can successfully finish writing a novel, a memoir, or any other piece of creative writing that they want to finish.
