CASE UPDATE: The female driver was cited for 4 different violations, including DUI, refusal to submit to testing, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle causing property damage. On April 26, 2023, she pled guilty to DUI and refusing to submit to testing. The other 2 charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. DUI is not criminal in New Jersey, so no jail time can be imposed. She paid a fine of $790.00 for the DUI and $133.00 for the failure to submit to chemical testing. Her license was revoked for an unspecified amount of time and she was ordered to install an Interlock Device on her vehicle.
On March 2, 2023, officer from the Verona, NJ police department responded to a call of a woman who hit a parked car and was attempting to leave the scene. The woman had left a nearby bar when she backed into a parked car that was being serviced at a tire shop. She then plays the victim. 18:59 As she is being handcuffed, she asks the 3 officers if they want to come back to her house to party. The offer didn't work and she went to jail. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
